The Analogy of "Fishing"

 Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

Greeting peeps. So in this post, I'll try my best to write in full english (disclaimer: my grammar could be sucks, no teasing tho).

First and foremost, this is different kind of fishing. I ain't giving you fishing tips. Na-ah!

Have you ever heard of this phrase? Maybe from one of your friends after a break-up?

"There are plenty of fish in the sea"

If you've heard it too many times - WOW you must have an outstanding break-up record. Lulz. Okay, just kidding.

I mean, there's nothing wrong with the phrase. But do you know WHAT IS in the sea besides fishes? Trash. Yerp, tons and tons of filthy, toxic trash.

So, when you go "fishing" for possible partner, there's actually a 50-50 chance. If you're VERY much lucky, you'll get a dolphin (cute, funny, understanding, helpful, caring, friendly, loyal, etc - good qualities).

Frankly, I think even anchovy is OK.

As long as it's not a trash.

To overcome this, you need to clean up your "sea", i.e your circle. If you don't clean up the sea and let the trash piles up, there's always a possibility to catch trash instead of, you know - fish.

So, do yourself a favor by pick up the trash, out of the sea. Create a good environment. Stop being a jerk-magnetSurround yourself with good people. If none, it's better to be alone. Period

Also, improve yourself. Be a better person. Good attracts good, vice versa. At thoyyibin li thoyyibat. And there's a Verse about this in the al Quran;

(Annur 24:26) Corrupt women are for corrupt men, and corrupt men for corrupt women. Good women are for good men, and good men for good women. They are innocent of the calumnies people utter. There shall be forgiveness for them and a generous provision.

After all, choosing a right partner is crucial. It can change and shape your entire life. The person you're with can affect your perspective, on almost everything. Your life could be dull or technicolor; and it's all depends on who you choose to be in it.

And if you had mistaken a trash for a fish; remember there's always a reward for every trial, and I pray you have sabar just like Nuh or Luth & Asiah; the wife of Pharoah

P.s: I'm not a goody-goody trying to preach anyone, just sharing my thoughts. Peace no war.
